Piano Pedagogy Books
Piano is not my primary instrument. My formal education is in classical clarinet and for a while I strictly taught clarinet and nothing else. When I became a music major, I very quickly realized that I need piano proficiency and I had a lot of work to catch up to where I needed to be. Piano is a great foundation instrument to theory, ear training and overall musical development.
After having kids, I thought it was important to start them on piano because of the foundation it served. I fell in love with teaching this instrument, but wanted to make sure I did the proper research/practice to teach the fundamentals correctly. I found these books listed below extremely helpful and highly recommend!
